2nd May 2007 Clutha Vaults

Brian McLachlan was hosting for Sandy this evening, and started the evening off with some pleasant ballads including 'Doin' time' and 'To be someone'

First up was Big Bob Leslie with a new composition [ 30 minutes old to be exact] called 'Already walking so tall' which was very good.

Willie Mathews was next up with 'The way you look tonight'
and he was followed by Andy 'the candy' Logan who gave us one of his favourite old classics 'Time slips away'.

Stevie McCaffrey was next with 'Behind Blue Eyes'. Stevei is now an excellent [and confident ]singer in public - which is a change from his first few Open Mics where he was very nervous indeed!!

Fraser Lindsay was next to perform giving us 'Play from the heart'

He was followed by Jer McDade with his composition 'Singsong'

Bob Leslie then got back up to accompany Stevie who gave us the blues song 'Headlights at my window'.

Fraser and Jerry then gave us a soulfull version of 'Stormy Monday'

Elspeth Durkin with Bob Leslie then gave us the Dolly Parton classic 'Jolene' performing it for the first time together this evening.

Andy McGarvie with some additional support on acoustic guitar from Bob Leslie, gave us another classic - 'All along the Watchtower'.

Willie got back up with Fraser then and gave us the JJCale classic 'They call me the breeze' but to their own style!

Willie stayed up and accompanied Izzy to 'Everybody loves a lover'

They were followed by Andy the Candy with 'The games people play'!

After him came the grandaddy of the Clutha - Joe MacAtamy with 'Haul Away' and 'Ride On' both done in his own inimitable style.

Stevie McAffrey returned with friends John and Jimmy on Percussion and Bass, and they gave us 'What's goin'on' followed by the Scissor Sisters song 'Take your Mamma out all night'

John and Jimmy stayed up and joined Fraser and Bob in 'Who do you love!'

Jer McDade then gave us 'The New James Bond'

Willie and Jerry then gave us a Pink Floyd classic

followed by Ian Adie singing 'Stand by me'.

Andy McGarvie then gave us 'Ramona',

and the final offfical performance came from Willie, Fraser, John and Jimmy giving us 'Everybody' and getting everybody to join in with the chorus!!

Then as usual after the 'official' performances there was a poplar jam session.
