There have been some major changes to the Clutha Vaults over the last week and the biggest one was the moving of the ladies toilets and the creation of a new large stage area for performers. The new black backdrop does however seem to absorb the light from the camera flash so some of the photos have turned out a bit grainy.
Sandy had started as usual and John from England was first with the classic blues song 'Stormy Monday'.
Next up was Bob Leslie with his composition 'It wasn't down in Texas'
followed by Stuart with 'Peace,Love and understanding'.
[He moved!!]
Eddie Kozobsky was next with the Beatles song 'Here comes the sun'
Gerry McHugh was next with the beautiful ballad 'The miles tae Dundee'
Fraser Lindsay was up next with 'The Summertime Blues'
and he was followed by George Campbell singing 'The last thing on my mind'.
Ian Adie was next up with his popular and appropriate 'Stand by me' - as he is hoping people will put up with the inconveniences whilst he refurbishes the Clutha Vaults and the Victoria Bar.
Next up was a visitor from Guernsey,England. John gave us a Bert Jansch song 'Empty Pocket Blues'.
He was followed by Jim Martin giving us his version of 'Copperhead Road'.
Elspeth Durkin was up next with Bob, giving us the ever popular 'Autumn Leaves'
Bob stayed up to accompany Stevie with his song 'Finished with Cocaine'.
Gavin Watt was up next with 'Factory Girl'
followed by Ger McDade with 'Somewhere So Long'
Stevie McCaffrey was up next
followed by Joe Kidd [and Bob Leslie] with his new song 'If you were my girl'.
Joe MacAtamny was next with his unique rendition of Shenandoh'
followed by Andy McGarvie with the Rolling Stones song 'Brown Sugar'.
Gerry McHugh then got back up and gave us 'Sweet Baby James'
followed by Stuart with 'the Stray Cat Blues'
George Campbell was then back up with 'Down to the River'.
Next up was Billy, from Govan Radio who sang his own protest song 'If I had a Rocket Launcher'.
Bob and Stevie were then back up with 'Headlights in my window' an excellent blues song which gets everyone going.
They were followed by Ger McDade with his song'The new James Bond'
At this point the battery on my camera gave up, so no more photos of the evening. However,
Joe Kidd was back up again and gave us his ever popular song 'Good Day'
he was followed by Gavin with 'Have you ever seen the rain' and Billy accompanied him on harp [Harmonica for those not in the know!]
Sandy then got Guernsey John back up, and he gave us a John French song 'Sam Stone'
Last singer of the evening was Joe MacAtamy with 'Annie McKelvie'.
Once again there had been so many singers that there was no time for even a short jam session afterwards!
