This evening was hosted by Brian McLachlan, as Sandy was off in Espania sunning himself on a short break holiday! However....to the music.
Brian started the evening off with a couple of songs by Matt Ford 'Cry' and 'Change your mind'.
First up on stage was then the ever popular Stuart Nugent, who sang 'Tinseltown in the rain' and then a Bruce Springstein song 'Goin' Down' for his friend Martin.
Jim Stewart was up next with a couple of ballads, 'Billy the Kid and then 'All out of Love'.
Bob Leslie, resplendant(?) in his shorts [he says even if you havn't got it, flaunt it!!] then gave us two of his popular chants 'The devil ain't a friend of mine' followed by 'Adios to Rock and Roll'. 
Elspeth Durkin then got up on stage, with Bob, and sang 'Autumn Leaves'

and then did an accapella [unaccompanied] song 'The Last Leviathan'
Sean was up next with a song called 'Tying the Knot'.

He was followed by Stuarts friend Martin, who gave us a Queens of the Stone Age song 'Don't tell' followed by a Brian Jones song 'Fucker'!
Next up was Arthur, with 'The green fields of France'
and he was followed by Stevie O, with assistance from Bob Leslie, giving us 'Eastender Blues', after which he also picked up guitar and they played his song 'Good to be alive'.
Next up was Cammy, who gave us the Oasis song 'Some might say' followed by an excellent version of the Simon and Garfunkel song 'Mrs Robinson' which had most of the audience joining in and harmonising!
After Cammy, Jer McDade came up on stage with two new songs to 'try out on us'. the first was 'Welcome to Revolution Day' and the second [which was so new the ink was still wet!] was 'A place'.
Joe MacAtamy was then invited up and he gave us 'Haul Away' and then 'Ride On'.
Next up was Frank Boyle, who was in with his family, and who joked about his arthritus giving him problems, but still gave us a good version of the Rod Stewart hit 'Listen to my heart' followed by a nice song 'Why won't you talk to me?'
Andy the candy Logan was next up with his popular versions of 'The games people play' and 'Two-timing man'. Sean got back up on stage next but was 'thrown' when the guitar lead came loose and 'went dead' so stopped in the middle of his performance.
Next up was Duncan Adams, who has not been at the Clutha for a few months, he performed 'The one I love' the popular singalong 'Where am I gonna live?'
Ian Adie was the penultimate perfomer on stage with 'Stand by me'
and was followed by the inimitable combination of Andy the Candy and Izzy 
who gave us a brief few bars of 'Shall we dance' [looking for the right key] but finished with the extremely popular 'I want a hug' to which almost the entire audience join along with the chorus! An excellent evening once again.

LITTLE RANT:
I did notice however that an increasing amount of people in the audience were raising their voices to talk above the music - which is quite frustrating for live performers on the stage.
I think this is a side effect of so many bars playing 'piped' music at a volume that people have to shout over it to be heard so that when they come to a live performance they automatically do the same not realising that the musicians , and other more attentive audience members, can hear them! They do not seem to realise that it is actually very inconsiderate to everyone else.
