Clutha Vaults Open Mic Wed 11th April 200

This weeks Open Mic was being hosted by Brian McLachlan from the Vagabonds,
as Sandy was off to see Bob Dylan in concert.

First up was Jim who gave us 'Girl from out of town' and 'Billy the Kid'

Next up was Stuart Colquhoun who performed a John Martin song 'May you never' and then 'Handle me with care' by the Travelling Wilburys. []

Next to perform was Gavin who gave us 'Don't call the doctor' and 'Cold Turkey'

Steven was next, with Bob Leslie on guitar' singing 'I got the blues'

Allan was next giving us 'My guitar', with his friend Jimmy on Bass.

Bob Leslie was next with two of his own numbers 'Mara' and 'Adios to Rock and Roll'

Then Steve McCafferty and Jimmy got up and performed the Bob Marley song 'Buffalo soldiers' folowed by steve's own song 'Born to Love'

Willie Mathews was next up, also with Jimmy, and he gave us the BB King song 'The will is gone' followed by a Bob Dylan song 'Don't think twice

Next performers were Jenny and Stuart Workman who gave us 'The Erie Canal'

Stuart and Johnny T Millar then performed the steve earle classic 'Copperhead Road'

Jer McDad then gave us 'Universal Grace' and then 'The New James Bond' two of his own songs

Next up were some 'newcomers' Big Stretch on guitar and Tom Docherty on trumpet. They gave us an excellent swing version of 'I told her lies'.

Joe Macatamy then gave us 'A Powerful song' and then 'Ride on'

He was followed by Arthur who sang ' The Green Fields of France'

Andy Lindsay then gave us and american song by Randy Newman 'Political Science' Final performance was from Bob Leslie and Elspeth Durkin singing 'Autumn Leaves'

There was a short jam session afterwards whilst the equipment was being dismantled.
