22nd August 2007

Sandy started off with a Billy Connelly song 'Don't say' followed by 'Two girls' and then A Teenage Fan Club song of Norman Blake's - 'It's all in my mind'.
First up for the evening was Elspeth Durkin singing accapella - 'After the Goldrush' by Neil Young. Sandy then sang again, with his own song 'Dancing for the Beast' then he accompanied big Ronnie Simpson on 'The Green fields of France', which Sandy followed with 'Nowhere Road' and then 'I lost it'. Tam was the next on stage and he gave us 'Down to Earth' and then 'Controlled by the stars' two of his own songs. Cheryl was next to perform with 'You're all that I want' and Angels lead you in'. Sandy then gave us another song, 'Fire and Rain' before handing over to Ger McDade who gave us 'My unsinkable Boat' followed by Further on down the road'. Stevie Osbourne was next with his composition 'Good to be alive' and then 'The Eastender Blues with Sandy accompanying him. the incomparable Joe MacAtamy was then prevailed upon and he performed his unique versions of 'Haul away' and 'Ride on'. Rab Sherrin then gave us 'Sugary cake and Candy man' and then the Rolling Stones hit 'Send me flowers'. Chris Grant then got up on stage and did an Eagle-eye Cherry song 'Safe tonight' followed by 'Urban Pressure'. He was leaving to go back NORTH tonight, but we hope we will see him again sometime (on a visit?)! Alan Stewart was next with his own song 'Life is like an open book' and then 'I' goin home'. Arthur then got up and performed 'The Green fields of France' (Not having been in when Ronnie sang it!). He was followed by Gavin Watt who performed 'Message to Rudy', 'Don't call the doctor' and (as Sandy had temporarily disappeared) kept going with 'Here comes your man'. Sandy, having returned, then got George Campbell up to perform' Cod liver oil and the Orange Juice'. Finally Andy the Candy Logan finished the evening with a Beatles song'I used to love her' with a little assistance from the audience on the choruses, and then 'Time slips away'.
